    Default A 3D taggy?????????

Two nights ago I had one of those sleepness nights and thought I would put the time to good use as my quilt group has been issued with a paint chip challenge which can be anything from a mug rug to a king size quilt or anything in between. We could use all 5 colours on the paint chip or 3 plus black and white/cream so I decided to make a 3D taggy for my 3 month old granddaughter - I am not sure if such a thing as a 3D taggy really exists but this is what I came up with. I used 4 of the colours on the chip plus the cream background.

The ear and the tail are not sewn down hence the 3D effect. I am very happy with the concept so I am about to make her a 3D taggy with a bright flower using many different colours. She loves textures and colours. The petals will be 3D and sewn down by using a centre to hold them in place. She can "flip" the petals as she will be able to do so with the elephant's ear and tail.

I hope that you enjoyed looking my 3D taggy.

Clever, this would be great as a cube with other taggies on the other sides. Well done, with the paint chip challenge....your grand daughter will have lots of fun with this.

Looks like you used all the colors in your chip by using the elephant fabric. Love the idea of a 3D taggy.
