Default Another UFO

I made this lap quilt and I guess it was just too dull. I got bored with the colors right away. It is full of wrinkles but I can take care of that. Its not the prettiest thing in the world. But, I bet it will make someone at my church or nursing home happy.

It would make me happy!!! Don't be so hard on yourself, every quilt is a labor of love and I know someone will just love it.

Love the Drunkard's Path block. So many ways to put it together. You are right, someone will love this little quilt.

It's a shame that the lack of contrast has dulled your enthusiasm because the construction looks really good and consistent on those curved seams. When you go to quilt it, you could either try using a heavy black thread, outlining the solid 'designs' in the ditch or perhaps an 1/8" outside of the grey solid designs.

Just something to help separate the elements.

It's not all that bad........ why don't you embellish it with buttons etc. There is always hope

I had a similar situation of not enough contrast on one of the first quilts I made. The recipient loves it though, so if she's happy, then I am too.

I betcha if you put some colored quilting on it , it would change your mind. There's nothing wrong with it that I can see.

I think it is very soothing - I like low contrast sometimes and yours is lovely.

It's subtle but pretty. The quilting may bring out the design or you could use it for the background behind an appliqué design. I'm thinking something like the Poppy Quilt (black and white background behind the big orange poppies) that was posted on QB?
