Default 5 Pointed Star Block

I was looking for some ideas for a mini workshop with our quilt guild and I came upon this 5 pointed star block tutorial - http://croseprose.blogspot.com/2009/...-tutorial.html
After getting permission from the designer, I made a sample for the group. We had a small group last night probably due to the rain - yay! Finally rain! I don't know how long it's been - and it's going to rain pretty much all week long! Okay - anyhooo...
I made up this sample and the group all loved it and everyone wanted to do a 5 pointed star block workshop.

I thought I'd share the link (above) and my picture.
I rushed and my center is not as neat as I would have liked it to have been and it's a bit wonky here or there but I'm pretty happy with the end result.

Anyhoo. It's a really easy block. It took me longer to pick out and cut my fabrics than it was to actually make it.
