AAQI with 162 triangle--sSomedays it's nice to finish something!
So often my little quilts take a long time to arrive. This one first started as left over HST from another project so a nice commonality among them. After sewing all 81 together in a square it sat for a while. Next I added the side triangles and found the perfect small scale fabric for the borders. Then it simmered on my design wall--the advantage of being so small--for s couple of months. I got the urge to finish something last night, so sandwiched this little bit up and stipple quilted in the light triangles before stippling elsewhere in the quilt. Fast triangles on the back, binding stitched in place and it's done.

Cute little quilt Gladie! I really like that shade of blue with your reds. The print is great for it too. I haven't sewn anything small for months! And really haven't hardly sewn at all. A quilt block for my swap once in awhile but not much else. I really need to get back into it. I love teaching but I need the soul satisfaction of finishing some projects!
I am sure you are feeling satisfied to have finished this little cutie! What's next?

Oh dear friends thank you! I have been inspired by quiltmakers Audrey Arno and Martha Wolfersberger who do fantastic mini piecing for AAQI.
Leslie-wow 9000+ fantastic.
Oh Lynn you can give it a try!! You just start big and get another 1/2 inch smaller until voila you are making these little ones!
Rhonda, I'm planning to finish another 5 or 6 tops I have done and then send them and a couple of "liberated baskets" onto Ami and crew. The kids have a fundraiser at school the end of January so want to make some valentine inspired minis for them. Your tutes are first rate and have inspired me to do more "drawing" in EQ. Thanks.
