Default Absolutely, positively the last 2 Christmas quilts for 2011

I get in such a frenzy of making Christmas quilts and tablerunners around Thanksgiving time, it's hard to believe. These are the last two for this year. The 1st one is a table cover for myself and the second is the one my DGD chose for her table this year. So much fun. Now I think I will start one of those Christmas Sweatshirt Jackets!

I didn't use a pattern for either project. Started with an octagon shape and just added borders. The prairie points on the 2nd one were left overs from other projects that is why they are different sizes. Just made them work. Neither has batting. They were very quick and easy.

Polly,

You made these since Thanksgiving? Wish I could bottle your energy. I love the border on the first quilt (is that called piano keys?) especially because it looks scrappy. I hope everyone who comes in your home this season oohhs and aaaahhhs over your beautiful table centerpiece.

Oh, how pretty! Really like the second one, haven't seen one like that before, and I love the birds!
