Abz to Oz
On Tuesday I'm off to Oz for the birth of my grandson. Both of these quilts are going with me. The little grey one was asked for by one of my daughter's friends, with her own choice of fabric and pattern though with some adaptation since the original wasn't symmetrical. The patches on the back were my idea since I thought a little baby might find them interesting. The other quilt is a bit at the other end of the spectrum! Oops! Sunglasses time lol! It's for my little Grandson, probably to be used as a tummy time mat. My other half said "good Lord that's busy". I have to agree though the back is a little calmer! Only a littleHa ha his name is on the front!
I did did make another little quilt in two hours on Sat in between the announcement of my grand daughter's birth and rushing to catch first sight of her. She is teeny weeny but healthy and beautiful. Mum and dad have called her Isabella Robyn however they don't want any pics of her on the Internet so I have to respect that though really Granny is desperate to show her off. So by next week the third of my soon to be four grandchildren will be here. A little breathing space between my trip to Ozzie and coming home, then it should be the arrival of the youngest member of the family. All these new babies - and it's our turn to have all the family for Xmas. I will need to have back and front rows to accommodate everyone
