Default African wildlife pieced by Kay and her family

Kay, her daughter, and (I believe) her aunt always put together wonderful tops. This center panel (from Timeless Treasures) is no exception. It is not a kit. Kay and her family travel from quilt shop to quilt shop always on the lookout for just the right fabrics to put together. ( I may need to start having them pick fabrics for my tops) Every top I have quilted for them seems to have just the perfect fabrics to make it pop!!!. We used Hobbs 80/20 batting which gives the quilt a nice low loft on the front while really showing off the texture on the back fabric. I thought I was keeping the quilting simple so the front fabrics would be highlighted, was I surprised when I flipped it over!!!!
