Default Alabama Quilt

I realized a few years ago that I had been so busy making quilts for the babies arriving in the family that my own kids did not have a quilt made by me. I made that a priority and got the first three done fairly quickly. Then I disrupted my life with a new job in a new state and could not seem to get the last one done. I finally just buckled down and finished it and gave to my youngest son just before he left for his second year of college. It's an Alabama quilt since he is a die-hard fan (no, he doesn't attend Alabama, but my husband grew up there and they get to games occasionally). Here are a few pictures. I am so happy to have finally made one for each of my children so they will always have a fabric hug from me.

Very nice job. You DS seems to like it. I love all the green around. Since I live in the desert, we don't get to see green much.

Gorgeous, masculine pattern and nicely interpreted by you. He will be proud to display it at school.
