I was on Craigslist and I saw a listing for cotton fabric...$25.00. I e-mailed the lady and she sold me all this. I did have to do a 50 mile round trip to get it, but I am glad I did. About half the fabric is not 100% cotton, but I can either give it away or use it for other projects. My daughter helped me separate the fabric.

I am planning on using as much of it as possible for charity quilts. I really didn't need more fabric, so when I saw the ad, I immediately thought about some of the charities we do in my quilt guild. I am going to put these in wash bags and throw it in my washer before I put them into storage containers.

This is what I brought home

Wow! Well worth the trip!
And you really can use many of the 'not 100% cotton' fabrics for quilts, especially if you or someone you know does the "art" quilts that use all sorts of fabrics.

I was thinking I could some of the fabric for backing and some of it will make it's way into a few doll clothes and dresses for my daughter. There are some drapery sheer fabrics in there... not sure what to do with those.

Great score!! Be sure to wash it all quickly. Actually, if it were me I wouldn't have brought it inside to my carpeted room. Be careful of critters in it!
