Wow! That is so beautiful it takes my breath away. It really looks like Allium! I've bookmarked it and will be adding your blog to my list of Favorite places too! Thanks for sharing the technique!

That is Beautiful...would love to try this....I know this sounds dumb but what keeps the tibits from falling and moving???Is it the organzi I think that is what you said...does that adhere to the pieces then you quilt over it? I love this and would love to try it..just not sure ...read the tute but still dont understand what is keeping it in place while you work on it. thanks for sharing

I laid the organza over it then put a pin in each corner, carried it very carefully to the machine keeping it flat then stitched FMQ styley. Hope that helps. Oh, I also stiched a complete circle then trimmed the organza back to within a 1/4". I really want to do a thistle, I'll take progress pics and post on my blog.
