Americana BUNCO quilt prizes
#1
Continuing with the Americana themes: I will host our little Bunco (dice game) group in June and have been working on the prizes. Each of the ladies know I quilt so have always made quilts for the prizes. I have a couple done, the 3 friendship star wall hanging with the "God Bless America" house can be displayed on a shelf...
The Americana Flag I made using the "one seam" flying geese technique. I haven't decided if I want to put a sleeve on the back, or maybe frame it? I am also working on a Red/White/Blue throw, but it's still in the piecing stage. Will post a pic when it's done. Then I am also making another piece that I will frame and put handles on the frame so it can be used as a serving tray....will post a pic of that one too when it's done.
Better get busy, I have a ways to go, and it's almost May!!

Those are nice and I especially like the friendship stars!
I had to look up Bunco, and in case there are other clueless people out there, I found this helpful. Does it sound right?

Oh Vicki, you take me back to the days when I used to belong to a Bunco group in Tuscon. We had sooo much fun. I still use a couple of the prizes I won all those years ago. Haven't ever tried to get a group started here.
I'd be so happy to win one of your prizes!!! Those are all fabulous. :)

Yes, that link gives a very good description. Our group has each member put in $10 (12 ladies) totally $120 to be used for prizes. We meet once a month and as there are 12 ladies, we each pick one month out of the year. Alot of fun!
