Shemjo is right the stack and whack is one technique for making a kaleidoscope quilt. I make Dresden Kaleidoscopes and they are differant in technique and look.

The only differance between the two is which technique you want to use and how you want it to look.

I do miniatuares and tote bags etc. so I like to do the Dresden version. But I have learned to love the look of the stack and whack ie: one block wonders. I just have never tried it.
