I think the idea of cream would indeed highlight those darker edges. Beautiful work...love the colours.

It's just gorgeous!! :D I also think cream might be the way to go. Try laying different color choices next to the edge & see if you can get a feel for just the right one!!

Gorgeous. Lots of work there & time. Play with the colors, walk away several times & do something else, come back. Each time you may get a different idea. I'd vote for tone-on-tone cream or very light mauve, then a darker green or the original fabric for binding. It will be beautiful either way.
