That is pretty. I want to do my Christmas decoration in blue & silver. Been thinking about it for quite some time now. Thanks for sharing.

I would just google designs to get an outline and use wool or batting scraps..make them more 3-d and fluffy like snowflakes.

I made my patterns by folding and cutting paper shapes.

I would go with getting coloring pages -- here are some sample pages:

I used to cut them out myself by folding a piece of paper in half and then in half again and cut, then using the paper as a templat. Because of the way snowflakes are cut they are often appliqued the same way that the Hawiian applique is done.
