I still haven't gotten a picture of the recipient with the quilt. But I did take some before I sent it away.
I started these blocks simply as something to keep me busy while I was recuperating from aneurysm surgery. Since it was the aorta I couldn't lay down while my DD was at work because I wouldn't have been able to get up by myself . So I pretty much spent 3 or 4 weeks in a chair. So I started this. Some of the blocks are my own design, some are taken from copies of old patterns I had. I started it in 2002 and just finished it this year.
Now the recipient is a girl that my son should have married if he had any brains. She is also the mother of one of my granddaughters. So the quilt will eventually go to my GD . I love this girl as if she were my own daughter. She is studying to be a nurse and raise 2 little girls. And yes she got married to a guy long before the second came along but he turned into a jerk a couple of years ago for some reason. Any way maybe too much info but I didn't want anyone to think badly of her she is a wonderful girl.

And no they don't . Wouldn't it be nice if they actually learned from their mistakes (and ours) :-)
