    here is a little string quilt i just finished. i got the idea from an old book i checked out of the library. i love the traditional look of a scrappy quilt.
    it is 40 x 40 inches. it is a baby quilt for the great grand baby of a friend.

    Very nice nanobirdmo...I like how you have left the strips 'squiffy' and weren't tempted to straighten them all off :D

    thanks izy, i love your word, "squiffy". that's one of the things i love about string quilts. i use every string of every size, and crooked is good.
    i also don't separate my scraps into colors or values or genre. i just reach into the scrap box and pull something out. it is very freeing.

    I love it. That's a great idea for scraps. Looks like you can use up so many. Very pretty quilt and the baby will LOVE IT, if not, the mom will, lol. If not, here's my address, lol
