Antique Star is finished.
This might be my favorite quilt, or close to the top anyway. It's Antique Star from the book Tributes and Treasures by Paula Barnes and Mary Ellen Robison. The sashing and border fabrics are also by Paula Barnes. I know I have well over 100 hours on this one, what with choosing the fabrics, cutting the squares, deciding which fabrics to use for each star (no two are alike), piecing, binding and labeling. The quilting was done by my longarmer friend. The quilt finished at 91" square. The colors on the close-up photo are fairly true. The bed shot, not so much. It will go to our friends who have a very traditional house decorated in browns and greens. They do so much for us, but I know they will be shocked when they see this. I think I will take them into our guest room just to see the quilt, and then after they ooh and ahh, I will show them the label. I think that will be fun. Thanks for looking.

That quilt is absolutely gorgeous! I can see why it is one of your all time favorites. Your friends will love it & cry when they find out you made it for them. I see all the hours & hours you put into it. Just picking fabric so that no two stars are alike is so very time consuming in itself. Thanks so much for sharing this with us.
