Here is my first "one block wonder". I displayed it in a show nearby last year and got a 4th place award. I was very proud. I am working on another "one block wonder". They are so much fun, I was wondering if anyone else has done one. If so, I would love to see yours too. The quilt pattern is from the book "One-Block Wonders" by Maxine Rosenthal. I can't really send this pattern, as it is mostly a technique with lots of variables, not just a pattern. Definitely check out the book if you like it.

By the way, these blocks are all made from the same fabric. It is all in the cutting. The name of the quilt is "Dancing with the Stars"!

Congratulations on your award-winning quilt! I'd like to try one of those. It's on the "list!" Make more!

That is great. I'm curious what the fabeic looked like before it was cut.

Love it! Congrats on winning. Looks a lot like a stack & wack that I have made just set together differently. I love stack/wack because like you said every thing is cut from the same fabric but each one is different.

I'm with you here Moonpie...I'd love to see a piece of material prior to cutting......it's so unusual...I love it!

That is awesome! I love the pattern. It reminds me of snowflakes falling. I love the title "Dancing with the Stars" lol.

Very interesting! I love the motion in it! I'm with Moonpi and Karenmay...is there a hunk of the original fabric big enough to see what it looked like? I really do like the outcome.

Thanks gals, for all the kind words. I didn't have much of that fabric left, but I did want to include it so everyone could see what is started out looking like. I used every scrape I had on the back. The closeup of the two pieces shows it best and I think you can see the quilting in the picture of the label.
