Would someone be willing to post up-close pictures of their applique? I'm trying to figure out if what I imagine it looks like is really what it looks like.

Thanks

Lady-T, what does raw edge applique mean? Also, is blanket stitch done with your machine?

I see you're in Iowa...me too!!!

In raw edge applique the appliqued pieces do not have the edges turned under.

They are usually applied with fusible web and the sewn around the edges,
You can do a multi-stitch free-motion zig-zaggy motion over the edges, satin-stitch,

or a straight stitch 1/8-1/4" inside the raw edge to encourage frayed edges
(like on my leaves)

You can do a blanket stitch with your machine bnut on the Christmas piece I did mine by hand.

Not sure where Sully is...? I'm over by Ft Madison

Sully is about 50 miles east of Des Moines, just off I-80.
