I took an old big, ripped it to shreds cause I thought it was ugly with a capital U but forgot to take pictures of it before I ripped it up so i grabbed some of the fabric and took a picture of it. But I saved the zipper and the lining and made a new Asian purse. However, I noticed i didn't make my straps the same size. :( Oops! Other than that I think its a nice purse. So here are some pictures.

I transformed it into this.

BLue satin and zipper

This is what the old purse was made of. Some boring blue fabric and some blue fabric with some little pink and blue butterflies on it. They werent very bright or very stand outish (not a word i know).

I think the new purse is pretty nice too!

But I have to admit, I can't see why you said the old one was ugly. The fabric isn't bright, but does look nice.

Henry: Why don't you get a stitch-in-the-ditch foot. It makes your sewing easier and you don't have to worry about getting your lines straight. Just a thought. Tks. GiGi

Henry: I bought mine at a quilt shop as I have a Janome 6600. However, depending on which type of machine you have, perhaps a fabric store would carry your brand. It really does make for a nice finished product. Hope that helps you. GiGi
