I only just in time discovered the Astronomical quilt block challenge - and asked my DGD if she would like to make a block. We decided to do a paper pieced block - she chose the block and the fabric from my stash...did all the cutting, sewing and pressing. I helped put a few pins in as she was having a little trouble getting them through the paper and the fabric....and coached....but she did it all herself. She is so proud !!!! I AM SO PROUD !!!!! - and said that she really likes paper piecing and would like to make a whole quilt that way. It will be in the mail tomorrow to make the deadline of 1 August!!
