Many have privately posted inquiring about my Avatar. Some have asked for larger pics. So this is for them.

This is from a pattern called "Sunset" by Julie Popa. The pattern is pretty easy as there aren't many seams to match. I took this as a class and was suppose to choose totally random color stripes . . . but just could not bring myself to do that. Now I've recently discovered this pattern on Quilters Cache (Irish Plaid) but with a much more desireable border. Of course the Irish Plaid uses 3 stripes and the Sunset just uses 2 stripes.

The sweatshirt jacket was made with the scraps from the quilt. I should also mention the quilting was done by the gals at The Olde Green Cupboard in Jacksonville, Fl on the Statler using a pattern I believe is called "spilt paint" using King Tut's "Joseph's Coat #918" on the front and green on the back.

The colors really pop. And I really like the jacket. Did you make it?

The quilt is so striking, great color choice too. Amazing where left over fabric can end up too :)

Sure, I made the jacket at a retreat last fall. My only dislike about it was not putting pockets in it.

Wonderful job on both! I love how the black makes the colors stand out! And the quilting is great, too!
