    Default Baby Safari

Haven't been on the board in awhile, I've got a lot of catching up to do, so many pictures, so many quilts. I've had a pretty busy winter with Christmas, a job that I'm so ready to retire from and a couple of surgeres but have managed to knock out this baby quilt for a young lady at work. Her nursery theme is Safari Animals and it inspired me a bit. I had been planning a simple friendship star but I when I found the animal vignette print, it evolved from there. I added a couple of batiks and a lovely animal print that is a mix if giraffe, leopard, tiger, etc., also used for the backing. I quilted with a meander with some loops thrown in. I framed each of the animals with loops and tried to keep the loop idea going.

Have a new grandbaby coming a couple of months, have to get to work on that quilt. This one was a good warm up for me.

    Hope you like this one.

That is really cute. You came up with a perfect setting for the baby animal print.

Very nice work! and such an interesting design too.

May I ask if it's primarily HSTs (except for the cute fussy-cut squares)?
