Really cute. I love Hobbs 80/20 batting but yes it does feel weird out of the bag. I usually fluff my batting (release wrinkles) on a low setting in my dryer and that also does seem to take the weird feeling away from the batting.

Those are my IKEA rails where I hang all my scissors & cutters and smaller rulers. I LOVE those rails and they do work pretty good for hanging small projects! Good natural light for a photo.

I actually TRIED to pre-shrink this batt because I knew I wanted this quilt to be rugged enough to handle HOT water washes. I threw it in for a rinse cycle in the wash and then dried it on hot, but it looks like it still shrank a little more after quilting!

I had a heck of a time basting this quilt..I used Elmer's and after I had it all dry and ready the next day, I realized the back was way too loose, somehow it had these long wrinkle-rolls of extra fabric. No idea how I managed that one. So I had to wet it all down and peel it back and put it back on...what a mess! I got gluey water all over myself! But it worked out in the end and thankfully the glue washes out of clothes just as well as it washes out of quilts, LOL.
