The new mama will love it even more because you made it. Decorated burp cloths are a great idea, and also bibs. I made lots for my daughters little girl with ties, which she loved because baby couldn't tear the bib off when in the high chair like with the velcro ones. Made a number with pockets at the bottom to catch the food, too -- they went through a LOT of bibs and burp cloths! Love the colors you chose and you did a terrific job.

I know I went through alot of bibs and burp cloths when my son was small. They come in handy and you can never have enough of them.

Thanks!!! I'm still having a hard time picking out the next fabric for the boarder. I will hopefully get it done this weekend.
