I didn't know tied quilts counted until I saw a beautiful one from someone else amongst all these wonderful pictures. So I guess I have finished a quilt. Here is my favorite as it contains fabrics from both my mother and grandmother. I saved pajamas and pretty shirts after their passings knowing some day a deserving person would appreciate their value. It went to a niece, the first grandaughter/great grandaughter to have a baby in the family.

Oh, that's wonderful, lakehouse! I love the sentimental value and the fact you waited for someone who would appreciate it. BTW, lots of people tie their quilts. I've tied a few, too, and still plan on doing it on some. Great job and thanks for showing us this picture!

Beautiful quilt filled with lots of memories. Of course tied counts and I'm glad you shared yours.

They do. Yours looks very happy.
Many of our community service quilts are tied.

Ofcourse they count!!!! You have made a treasured heirloom that will be passed down through the generations!!! Please say you did make a label describing where the fabrics came from and the significance of the young woman who received it and your name and date! Beautiful quilt, how many more relatives are waiting in line for their turn???? :D :D :D
