Baby Quilt I just Finished

Hi...this is a baby quilt I've just finished for a friend having a little girl in a few weeks. There is a lot of applique which I did by hand (my first attempt - and I hate hand sewing, but it wasn't as bad as I thought..lol). I'm really pleased with how it all turned out...I actually don't quite know how I will part with it...lol.
I now have a machine that will do the applique stitch so I can't wait to do another one sometime :).
I quilted mainly by doing stitch in the ditch around the squares and along the striped border top and bottom. I quilted random hearts around the bears as I thought that's all it needed.
This is a pattern that I saw in a quilting magazine here and it's a Li'l Blokes design by Lynn Hyland. They are in Bendigo, Victoria, Aust for anyone interested in getting the pattern.
p.s. I forgot to mention...the pattern is called Hearts and Flowers
