Here's the quilt I finished for my niece. She doesn't know if she is having a girl or boy, so she said she wanted a brightly colored quilt for either sex. I hope she is happy with this one...I just finished it and the shower is coming up soon.

Oh my! I really do like your quilt. Colors are so crisp and the quilt pattern compliments the colors.

Those colors are so bright a cheerful and they will look good in any nursery. Did you do the FMQ yourself? Very nice work.

What is the FMQ....the quilting part of it?
I did not do the swirls...what does FMQ stand for???

FMQ is free motion quilting on a domestic sewing machine.

Great quilt. I know she will love it and it looks big enough that it can be used for years, which I think is a real plus.

This would also make a great Linus quilt project. Easy piecing and the size can be adjusted to meet requirements. The first border (4 fabrics) is subtle, but it really makes this quilt outstanding.
