The first pic is a close up of my avatar and the first quilt I made, an attic window design for my DGS. I don't have a pic of the very first quilting project that I made which was a wallhanging. The second pic is of the rail fence blocks I was going to use for a quilt for a friend before I found out that she thought pieced quilts are "too busy." I have since completed the top but it remains a WIP. Will post that pic later.

Wow, who wouldn't like those quilts. I'll be your friend, I like pieced quilts, and Ialthough some are busy, they're very nice.

I like you Attic Windows. I've been making pot holders with some of the blocks I printed off the net. Am tackling the Windows next. I love your colors

I must be "old" fashioned - but can't imagine putting skulls in a baby quilt?

Skulls of all sorts and bright/neon colors are very popular in "edgy" baby and toddler gear. Of the nine pregnant or new moms I know all but one favor really bright. The skulls are part of the punk/goth/rockabilly taste of this generation. 8-)

The baby won't see skulls. He will see bright colors. Sometime I have to remind myself too that it is a different world than when I was growing up. We weren't into all of the skulls and goth types of things.
