Default Bag - second try

I wanted to make my mother a purse/bag for her July birthday. She'll be 82 and has enough quilts, runners, placemats, etc - I wanted something different. I posted my 1st attempt a few weeks ago - it ended up being closer to an overnight bag than a purse for her tiny frame. So this is another try. I think I'll put a decorative button on the flap. It was supposed to have a cord and button closure, but I was concerned that it would be hard to open. this has a magnet instead.

I'm thinking of putting those two buttons on the bigger bag, but from here it looks like eyeballs! Here's where I first posted about that bag: http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...e-t191243.html

The pattern is "The Two Hour Tulip Purse". I'm thinking the "two hour" was a joke!

It has 2 small interior pockets and one under the flap. The idea of making the second bag part of a "set" came from this board. Thanks!

I love your bags, especially the little one ~ but the big one could sure come in handy, too! I love the fabrics! You did very nice work!

I match my purse to the current decade - use them until they are just disgusting. My mother matches hers to her outfits - with them all stored on shelves in her closet - with little stand-up thingys so they stand neatly at attention. (Do you think I was adopted?) So figured this would go with jeans if nothing else.
