Default BaileyIsland bag (small version)

From Tonga Treats, Coastal line. The batting is W&N, and I like the body it gives the bag but it was very bulky to work with in places. I will try Quilter's Dream Request next time.

This was my first chance to use my new Wonder Clips. I can't imagine doing this project without them.

Nicely done! I made one in all blues. I just saw one in browns through the tan color range that I really liked. Did you use the green clips or the red ones. Great job! Luann

Thanks, all! There are some lovely paler batiks in that TT collection, but I thought the darker ones would be more practical for an everyday purse.

Luann, I used the red clips and they were plenty strong enough.

The bag calls for two buttons, to cover the magnetic snaps that would otherwise show on the outside. On a hunch I checked the button rack at WalMart and was amazed to find just those two (one taped to its card), at $1.19 each, and they were a good brand. I had expected to have trouble finding complementary buttons at our one fabric store in town, and to have to pay a lot more for them. Sometimes we just get lucky.
