I saw this on our way up to SW Minnesota. It's my first barn quilt picture. There is a county here in Iowa that is supposed to have a bunch of barns with quilts. I hope to head up this fall to see them. There aren't too many in my neck of the woods.

Good idea! There aren't any barns around here. . .

I love barn quilts...but I don't have a barn or even a garage...hmmm...wondering if I can start a new movement for "house quilts"...lol Naomi

I live in the country (at least for another month) and every year they have a Barn Quilt tour. It's a list of about 20 different barns that have 20 different quilt patterns painted on them. Most are the same size as in the picture. Some of the barns actually have a 'stop and see' going on. It could be farm related, quilt related ('old time quilting party') or even churning butter or carding wool. It involves one county (Champaign County Ohio) and a bit of driving. For a nominal fee you get the map of the barns to go along at your own pace. Beautiful countryside.

Nice! We are going to spend a weekend this fall following the NC Barn Quilt trail. Us, the dogs and the pickup, "ruffing it" camping! Will take lots of pics!
