My husband and I took a car cruise with a car club from Portland to Tillamook Oregon. Tillamook County is known for their barn quilts. It is hard to take pictures of the barn quilts driving at 60 mph and since we were with a group it was impossible to stop to take pictures. When we got to town we found that most of the buildings in downtown Tillamook had barn quilts. I had to explain to everyone what barn quilts were and after that it was a game to see who could find the most.

What route did you take? I did that trip many times when we lived in Lake Oswego and I don't remember the barn quilts. I may not have know to look for them either though.

We took the Wilson River Highway. The closer you get to Tillamook the more you see.

Did you go to the Latimer Quilt and Textile Center? It has an amazing collection of not only quilts, but weavings and knitted items.

Love the donuts! My DH is a retired cop, so I can't wait to show him.
