Your opinions please? Do I add border(s) or leave as is?

My thought is to add a 4" inner border of the fabric shown on my cutting table. Then, use up the leftover strips to make a 2" wide, pieced outer border. Borders will make the quilt a bit bigger. It's 44" x 66" now. What do you think?

Thank you! I've been hemming and hawing over this too long. I need my wall back! LOL!

Leftover tubes of strip sets.

Possible border fabric. I used this fabric in the quilt, but it's hard to see it!

chele, what a georgeous wonderful quilt. you did a fantastic job.
i am certainly no expert, but my first reaction is to say don't put any border on at all. the eye is drawn to the center naturally and a border might interrupt the flow.
just my opinion and it is worth exactly what you paid for it

I'd suggest a border as a "frame". It would set off the pattern. I also like your idea of using the scraps for a little pieced edge. The quilt is beautiful. You are the master of bright beautiful colors. I love 'em. Sara

Chele, That is just gorgeous. I like your idea of the 4" border, will frame a quite beautiful picture, but not sure about an outer border, may detract from the wonderful design.

I might put a 1" finished deep colour (reads black) as a 1st border & then that lovely border print as the final one. I think I'd save all those neat batik chunks for another scrappy project or something you could use them on as a piano key border.

8) I agree with the one border reply. Two would be too much. It's an amazing quilt!!!

I agree with Thimble's idea - thin dark border and then the lovely print outer border. Save the rest for a scrappy quilt. The eye really is drawn to the centre, isn't it?

I vote for a 1-inch black border, then a one-inch printed border, then a 1.5" or 2" black border.

or just a 2" black border.
