Batik Block for Lab Fairy
#1
Lab Fairy, this a pic of the batik block you PM'd me about.
I named it 'double framed square'. It is made with some of the luscious fabric I got from Roberta (bob1414).
The shorter strips are sewed around the center square just like for a log cabin block, just all the same fabric instead of a dark and a light, to make a frame. Then the longer strips are done in the same manner creating the second frame.
Very easy block to do.
Sorry, the colors did not come out very good. I can't seem to get good pics with my webcam on this laptop.

I was lucky enough to get one of these blocks in the batik block swap and the colors were drop dead gorgeous. I loved this block especially the use of the striped batik on the inner frame. The other one you did was awesome as well(lucky me got two of your blocks in the swap)
