Default Batik BOM

I finally finished this BOM. I don't usually have UFO's, but this turned into one. it was an 18 month program, and some of the early blocks were smaller than the later ones. I think because I got a new DSM during the process and the new machine was more accurate on my 1/4 inch seams. Anyway, since the blocks were not the same size I knew it wasn't going to go together smoothly. Also I was storing it in a plastic 12" x 12" box and I wanted the box for something else so I decided to just finish it. I did have to work a little magic to make it match up, but in the end it turned out pretty good. I used my walking foot for the straight line quilting and Free Motioned the flowers. The name of the pattern is "Ella Mae's Sampler" by Lori Smith. I used muslin on the back and aurifil thread for the quilting. Thanks for looking :-)

That quilt was worth the time you spent on it. Just perfect!

Very nice finish. The alternate (setting) blocks work beautifully in your quilt.

Very pretty quilt. I like Lori's Sampler designs better than most samplers. She really has a knack for designing samplers that are out of the ordinary.
