I didn't have a pattern, I just cut a bunch of strips 2.5 inches wide, then sub-cut the strips into 2.5 x 2.5 squares and 2.5 by 6.5 inch strips. Each block is 6.5 x 6.5 before sewing together. You need two squares and two strips of one color and one square of another color for each block. I really don't know how much fabric I used because I have this awesome stash of batiks. I was on a roll, so i just kept cutting. I have enough blocks left over to make another quilt a little smaller than this one.
Thank you for taking the time to reply. I have several batiks and will try this as it seems simple enough.
