I have over 300 tan and green half square triangles to maek that block out of, but wasn't sure what the cutting plan for the trunk part would be. Did you use a pattern?

That looks wonderful! I just got some fat quarters to sew the tree of life design, too. I plan to make 2 blocks to use for two wallhangings for Christmas gifts. I was debating how to make the trunk part. I didn't like the one pattern I found online for that part of the tree.
