Default Batman Baby Quilt...

I finished a quilt today that a friend asked me to make. My actual feelings are that Batman is rather a dark subject for a newborn baby, but the parents are really "into" Batman, so ok... I started looking & found some fabrics for it. The most colorful one was to be the backing & I fussy cut a block for the center focal fabric. From there I just kept putting together strips of Batman fabric, alternating with white strips to give a bigger wow factor. When it came to doing the FMQ, I was afraid of it looking rather boring, so I used a multi-color specialty thread we'd gotten a while back from Jo-Ann's & did a meander all over except the focal block. That I simply detailed so nothing would be lost. I washed it & used some softener this morning so it's all ready to snuggle. :-) It's not my usual colorful baby quilt, but I kind of like the overall design anyway. Sure hope they do!

Very nice quilt, and I know they will love it too. I like to tell every one I give quilts to that when they wrap up in the quilt it is like getting a hug from the person that made it for them. Lots of Love.

Well done and the baby will focus on the high contrast of the light and dark fabrics. I like the varigated thread too, it adds extra interest.

Not my first choice for a baby but it is for their baby. It turned out really well. The diamond affect is super. Hugs
