A wonderful scrappy! Come back to it after some time. Often after a big project I too think "its not so great " but then after the mental fatigue of the project clears .. I can see the beauty .

Well, I LOVE it and I don't particularly like brown. Glad you are out from under the feeling that it is still hanging over you, but really a lovely quilt.

I bet you will like it after you quilt it! I was so-so on a scrappy trip around the world until I quilted it and then it was Wow it looks fantastic. I think you did a wonderful job piecing your quilt and the pattern is on my to do list as well.

This top came out at 62" x 86"... big, for me. I didn't have a pattern. Just used scrap 2" squares for the 4 patches, and 4" squares for two HSTs, then trimmed them down to 3.5". You can arrange the block so that it will make either a Buckeye Beauty or a star... I did the star configuration. There's also another configuration called Jacob's Ladder. Very traditional... from before there were formal patterns.

I agree it would look lovely done in 30's feedsack reproductions!
