I made this when I had only been quilting for a short while for my friend Becky. We have been friends since 7th grade which is now over 40 years ago. As you can see she liked it. I had no clue how to do machine appliqué so I just cut things I like out of a FQ and if they were too small I turned them under and zig zagged around as carefully as i could. It has held up all this time so I guess I did okay.

I think she liked it!

You did a great job and she obviously loves it. Really like what you did with the border.

My avatar is my bichon frise who I call Rocco the wonder dog. He is my constant and loyal companion through thick and thin. His hair is like a mop. I will post just prior to most recent hair cut and now in his naked and embarrassed state.

It is wonderful. I especially like your black in the border bringing out the black in the center part. Looks great.
