Came across some scrappy spool swap blocks that had been hiding for several years and also a few mini Chinese coins that were hiding with them. Turned them all into dolly quilts for my Guild's Giving Stash. Around Christmas time we give the dolly quilts to a local seniors group who include them with their gifts to local Head Start kids. The quilts are wrapped around dolls for girls and and teddys for boys. May in Jersey

Very nice quilts. I especially like the border in the first one. I have that same fabric.

That was the last of that fabric, hated to see it finished. Since the blocks were made by others I had fun matching them up with fabrics that I have. Sometimes I didn't have enough fabric as in the 2nd spool quilt, had to use 2 different fabrics for the binding. May

Love your dolly quilts and what a good cause for them. I have never heard of a chinese coin square before could you explain it to me.
