There are a number of youtube videos showing how to do FMQ with rulers. Go to YouTube and do a search for Amy Johnson, Patsy Thompson or Leah Day, they all have good information. I don't do much marking when I do ruler work, the rulers have markings on them that help you line up. Also, I put some sandpaper dots, or shelf liner on the bottom of my rulers so they grip the fabric--that keeps the rulers from sliding.

I hold the ruler against the foot with my Machinger gloves on. I am looking for the little sticky circles that go on the ruler bottoms but haven't got them yet. There is a video from Bernina on YouTube.

Your ruler work looks so good! Thanks for sharing this. Very encouraging. Still haven't been able to work with mine yet and now we are out of town for awhile.

It looks like I might have to try these rulers.

Does the #72 foot fit on most Berninas? Do the rulers come with the foot (like a package) or all they all sold separately?

If you go to YouTube, Bernina has an information video on the #72 foot and which machines it fits. I think it fits most except older models. The foot here in Canada was $140 and the 6 rulers are sold separately and are pricey. I had to be on a waiting list as demand right now is higher then production. Check with your local Bernina dealer to see what the prices would be for you.

Your quilt & quilting are awesome! For about 6 months or so I have been trying out a couple rulers with my DSM. So much fun to do & pretty good results. I'm a long way from good but each time it gets better. Lots of practice.
