This is kind of a long story, but you might enjoy it. I was out one day scouting out a thrift store when I came across this Singer 328k. It was in a portable case but what struck me was how clean it was. It was marked $49.95. Now I have to admit that I was tempted, but I didn't need it so I passed. Some time later, maybe as long as a month or two, I found myself back in the same store and it was still there! The price had been slashed in half, then in half again so this time it was $9.99! So long story short, it ended up in my car. I "just happened to have" a Singer sewing cabinet sitting there empty and it fits in perfectly. I felt like I "saved" the poor thing and I'm very pleased to report that it sews beautifully. I found an on-line manual and the feet and other accessories that I have laying around from another old Singer also fit this one. :-)

It fits in perfectly in my attic sewing room. Also shown are two lamps that I've "saved" and rewired.

I'm sure that sewing machine doesn't feel homeless anymore. Take good cared of her! Looks like you've got the perfect room for her, too! Enjoy!
