I've been busy the last few days and delivered them this morning to a local Bible bookstore for resale. They've purchased from me in the past and ran out of my stock just in time for Easter. Most of the covers (with the exception of the denim with embroidery) are made from created fabrics. It's freemotion quilting over layers of bits and pieces of scraps, covered by tulle.
(I did a tutorial for how to make these on my blog - http://peggymunday.blogspot.com/2010/07/scrappin.html and more info on the end result at http://peggymunday.blogspot.com/2010...le-covers.html )
Each cover has padding in the body and flaps, crocheted bookmarks, corded edges, memo pockets on front and back flaps, pen pocket in front flap, cross cutouts on front covers with satiny lining and then satin stitched on edges, and padded handles. Hope they become nice presents for someone for Easter.
p.s. - the purple one on the left in the first pic has no cutout or bookmarks and is more suitable for a paperback instead.

This was once a woman's jacket - repurposed

Sorry about that, don't know why it's not linking. If you go to my blog, click on the blog archive and select July 2010, both the scrappin' and Bible Covers posts mentioned are on that page. They take me a little time, but worth the effort and fun to work on. You can detail them out in a lot of ways. Or simplify the covers and make them quicker. (That's one reason I tried the denim with embroidery - it's actually a repurposed woman's jacket cut down to use the fabrics. I have two other covers cut out in that fabric to put together.)

update - fixed the link, I had the parenthesis too close to the link, lol

I love your " scrappin" fabric... I always hate throwing out anything, this will give me one more creative outlet for those odds & ends.
