I agree. The sample looks great. Using up your scraps and stash sounds great too. If you don't like the results, however, get what you need. IMHO, QAYG is fine for this. Please share your results too. Tell your Mom that the embroidery looks great there.

Either way it will be gorgeous! I personally like a lighter background but you will have to decide which is best for you.
