You inspired me to post a picture of mine. I love how yours is so elegant... mine is just plain goofy! I collect cow items, so I used this red cow print from my stash, and an assortment of black-and-white fat quarters for the inside parts. The little bag in front is the coordinating "Dumpling Dish" pattern... it holds my Wonder Clips.

I would certainly not classify this pattern as "beginner". I ended up watching the author's YouTube videos several times; they are very helpful. The thing is, you have to take this one nice and slow. I'm generally a speedy sewer but I had to really reign myself in on this project. It takes a lot of thought and planning. Not trying to discourage anyone from making it, but it's not a make-it-tonight and use-it-tomorrow kind of project!!

Default Bionic Gear Bag

I too have made this bag. I have made 4 so far, but took a long break. Yes it is do-able, but not really a beginner bag. Would love to see this pattern updated though, taking out all the personal information.

Great bag. I need to make one, especially since I already bought the pattern.

I would definitely not rate it as a beginner pattern. It was one of the more difficult things I've ever sewn. But it's doable, just take your time. And check Youtube for Bionic Gear Bag tutorials.

Oh I love the fabrics. Your quilt & all the matching accessories are awesome. Really love the pin cushion!
