Default birthday cake always has zero calories

What do you think of that title for my cut work pattern for this? I made the quilt up for a friend. It is mainly the cutwork, but then I did a bit of quilting to add interest.

Very cool. The additional quilting really puts it over the top.
Great job

Is this going into the book too? You could put the name and/or date on the plate. I was expecting a whole cake though. I don't think I've ever had blue frosting before, guess that's why mine always had so many calories in it!hehe

Yes, it is going in the book, guess I should make the plate a little wider, great place for the name and date! Thanks for the idea!

I had thought of doing quilting that was a present and balloons in the background, but had just done it on a fat quarter, so didn't have much room left. I had planned to have a group of 3 balloons on one side, one with a happy face, one that said "80" (how old my friend is) and the last "B" (her initial).

I never thought of the blue frosting being what caused the calories - NOW we know!
