If it was me or my daughter, sleeping under this wonderful quilt would just grow my love of purple!!

I don’t do purples if I can help it, but I’m sure your GD will love it. However, I do want to compliment the quilting, and your choice of quilter, as it respects the piecing, is hand-guided and not a computer generated overall meander.

    That's beautiful! I'm sure she'll treasure it.

I still have the quilt and matching doll quilt that my grandmother made for me when I was small. I still love it dearly.

It's just beautiful. Did your granddaughter know that the fabrics she selected were for her b'day quilt, or were you being secretive? I LOVED purple at that age (had a purple velour bedspread, which was wonderful until the cat peed on it near the pillows and left a big crusty stain, but I digress). I maintained my love of the color as first choice till in my 40s. You have made a treasure for her that she will adore forever because of your love, even if purple someday is not her favorite color.

It's beautiful. Love your quilting, too. I think all girls go through a purple phase.

Very pretty quilt. I just made my 10 yo granddaughter a purple bunny quilt for this coming up Christmas. Just have to find some backing for it. I love your quilt and the quilting is great too.
