Default Unique Mini Wallhanging

It's my friend Jamie's birthday and I couldn't think of what to make her. Recently I found out she has been collecting veiwmaster viewers and reels for many years. I found 1 viewmaster viewer embroidery design online (i was surprised they even had one), so I machine embroidered it onto 2 blocks and the other two blocks I made applique reels. I put stars on one and flowers on the other. I used pellon fusible for all of the applique, I cut out each little square and matched it up with my fabric scraps. When I was finished the squares I put them on the reel the way I wanted them and hit it with the iron then finished it off with a button stitch. For the black dot, I put the fused fabric in between 2 pieces of paper and put it in my 3 hole punch, worked great. I am pretty pleased with the way it turned out.

The best gifts are not the most expensive, but ones made with a real love for and understanding of the recipient. Hurray for you!

Isn't that the beauty of quilting - you can make something so unique and personal for a gift. Beautiful wall hanging.
